OU Oboe Studio

Welcome to the University of Oklahoma Oboe Studio.

Thinking about studying oboe? You're in the right place.

The OU Oboe Studio is a close-knit, supportive community of oboists at every stage — from high-schoolers preparing their first college auditions to graduate players pursuing the master's or doctorate. Wherever you are on that path, you'll find serious training, a genuine sense of belonging, and a teacher invested in your growth as a musician and a person.

Whether you're headed for a career as a performer or educator, or you simply love this instrument and want to go as far as you can with it, I'll meet you where you are and help you build a foundation that lasts. Between private lessons, studio classes, reed making, pedagogy, and plenty of chances to perform and collaborate, there's real room here to find your voice — and to enjoy the whole beautiful, maddening, wonderful business of playing the oboe.
